Meet Operations Wizard: Susan Gadsby

  • Affectionately known around the office as the “Air Traffic Controller”, Susan Gadsby is Team Kerr right-hand woman. Her expert organizational skills keep the office running smoothly so that our realtors can do their job, and focus on the clients. As Office Manager, it’s Susan’s attention to detail, high level of professionalism, and charisma that make her a favourite among our clients and Team alike. A born and raised Vancouverite, Susan has over 20 years of experience in admin and client-based service roles. This drive for excellence on behalf of others was a natural segue to Susan’s charity work for Project Samos, a housing and education program for orphaned and homeless children in Guatemala. When she’s not busy volunteering locally for Project Samos or keeping Team Kerr in line, Susan can be found traveling, practicing Kundalini Yoga, or baking. What being part of Vancouver’s real estate market means to Susan:

    1. What is your philosophy on selling real estate? As the team assistant and office manager, I am here primarily to support our clients and my team. I am driven to ensure that the process goes as smoothly as possible. To ensure this, I want our clients to know that they can count on us as a team and that there is always someone available to answer their questions or assist them.
    2. What do you like best about life in Vancouver? I have lived in Vancouver my entire life. I grew up on the North Shore and have lived in Kitsilano for over 20 years. Although I have traveled nationally and internationally, I am always happy to return home. The combination of people, family and, friends; the outdoor and cafe lifestyle; as well as the ocean and mountains within view and a few minutes of my home, make Vancouver the place to be for me.
    3. What impressed you most about Team Kerr ? I met the team in August 2014. I was instantly impressed with their fellowship and honesty. There is camaraderie in their work ethic and an excellent work/life balance. Additionally, I love that there is a diverse group of organizations that this team chooses to give back to. I was hooked!
    4. Did you always want to go into real estate? My background is in administration and customer service which is applicable to all industries. When I purchased my condo in 2005 I became great friends with my real estate agent, Michelle. We talked a great deal about the industry and how I would be well suited to it. When I saw the job posting for this position, I jumped at it. Not only did the job description fit my credentials and values, the great energy of team clicked with me.
