Vancouver’s Best Spring Break Camps for Kids

  • With spring break around the corner and the high potential of couch potato kids after a tough school term, we’ve rounded up a few of the city’s best camps for kids. From art to sports and everything in between, we love these picks for their diverse curriculums that will stimulate their inspiration and keep them social–and out of the house if you’re planning to sell this spring!

    1. The Arts Umbrella’s Spring Break packages include week-long camps and programs for everything from theatre, music, and dance to media arts classes, photography and fine arts. Perfect for budding artists aged 3 – 19, there truly is something for everyone.
    2. If you always dreamed of running away and joining the circus, now your kids can with Circus West’s week long Spring Break Camp. Five days of juggling, unicycle, trapeze, trampoline, acrobatics and more will culminate in a Friday afternoon show for family and friends where participants will demonstrate all their new skills. Ages 7 – 14.
    3. UBC offers numerous wonderful camps. We like No Limits (ages 9 – 14) where kids can participate in all of the best the lower mainland has to offer: biking/rollerblading at Stanley Park, swimming at the UBC Aquatics Centre, laser tag, go-karting and more. They also offer Storm the Campus, an activity-based afternoon on the UBC campus, among other options for younger kids.
    4. The 4Cats motto is “art is for everybody” and they aim to make it accessible and enjoyable through a host of workshops. Choose your location to see what this chain of art studios has on the calendar for your little ones, all with the purpose to have fun living a creative life. Ages 4+.
    5. Get your Pedelhead moving with innovative half and full day camps, or a bike-swim combo camp. New this year is the Balance Bikers program in addition to their popular Trikes ‘n’ Trainers. Small classes, experienced instructors, and a whole lot of fun in the fresh air. Ages 2 – 12.
